Last year Eumar made a fantastic deal when they partnered with Carnival Cruise Line to implement complete vanity units across their entire new cruise vessel, the Mardi Gras that is currently being built in Meyer Turku. Carnival’s Mardi Gras is an XL-Class ship that accommodates over 5,200 passengers making it the largest ship in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet and the first one to use liquid natural gas (LNG) for fuel, so this project was quite a challenge, but one they gladly accepted.
“We are honoured to partner with Carnival Cruise Line and Meyer Turku and look forward to providing this outstanding vessel with comprehensive bathroom solutions. Eumar Design is looking forward to offering the best bathroom environment to help in creating a memorable experience for Mardi Gras’ guests on board,” explained Arkadi Berman, CEO of Eumar Design.
When Carnival Cruise Line launched their first ship in 1972, the TSS Mardi Gras, they had a clear vision to make cruise ships less stuffy, more fun and exciting. They wanted to give guests more entertainment options, more distinct areas and an experience that would deliver lifelong memories.
Now they are paying homage to the original by building the ultimate cruise ship – the Mardi Gras. The Mardi Gras is a new concept in ocean-based fun, having introduced the groundbreaking idea of zones which consist of six themed areas packed with brand-new experiences for eating, drinking and entertainment. The ship will also feature the world’s first rollercoaster at sea, named The Bolt. This is the kind of innovation and visionary thinking that Eumar can really get behind and are delighted to be part of the spectacular project.
Eumar’s mission is to design and deliver the best possible bathroom environment to help create unforgettable experiences for each and every guest who embarks upon the Mardi Gras, and it’s clear that they delivered this. For many years Eumar has been assisting cruise ships in creating the most beautiful and functional bathroom environments, built to the highest possible quality standard.
Having utilised a fully integrated design approach that minimises risk and maximises value and by supplying lightweight composite stone washbasins, beautifully designed bathroom furniture, LED mirrors and shower enclosures, Eumar have become leaders in this highly competitive field. In fact, they have furnished tens of thousands of crew and public area bathrooms on at least 50 different cruise ships currently sailing across the globe.
The basis of Eumar’s success lies in their unique injection moulding technique, the speed of new product development based on customer needs, an insistence on perfection in engineering, and a compulsive passion for innovation in product functionality and design.
