Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America (CSI) and Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe (CSIE) are delighted to announce the addition of Boris Ruskovsky to the Advisory Board.
Boris has extensive experience in the cruise industry. Inspired by a desire to travel, he started his career onboard a cruise ship. A planned three-month stint turned into three years, which transformed into a lifelong career in the cruise industry!
Boris holds the title of Senior Director of Vessel Refurbishment with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. He oversees the hotel refurbishment project management team for NCL’s three brands: Norwegian, Oceania and Regent. Boris brings a deep understanding of the refurbishment market to the advisory board of both expos. CSI welcomes his knowledge of the current state of play, challenges and opportunities within the cruise ship refurbishment market.
From speaker to advisory board member
Boris first became involved with Cruise Ship Interiors Expo when he joined the 2019 Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America conference. He was part of the esteemed panel for Extending the Life Span of a Cruise Ship. Boris said of the show, “What really excites me is that finally, we have a platform where the industry can meet. Most of the conferences or expos are geared towards ship’s technology and not towards guest-facing parts of the vessels. I am really looking forward to great discussions that will improve practices and create industry trends.”
We are excited to welcome Boris back to both CSI and CSIE for many more productive and enlightening discussions! If you would like to learn more about Boris’ perspective on cruise ship refurbishment, you can watch the conference session, Extending the Life Span of a Cruise Ship, here. CSI had the chance to interview Boris about his start in the cruise industry, his take on the refurbishment market and his most challenging projects to date.
Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe will be taking place at the ExCel Centre, London, 2–3 December 2020.
