Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe is just a few weeks away. On 30 November 2022, the entire European cruise interiors community will unite for two days of networking, product sourcing and knowledge-led conference sessions. Read on to find out what’s on at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe 2022 and our top five reasons shipyards can’t miss this action-packed event.

1. Network with cruise lines and suppliers over the course of two days

Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe is the only cruise trade show that unites the entire cruise interiors sector. This niche event is the ideal opportunity for you to mingle with suppliers, designers and cruise lines within the European cruise community.  We offer plenty of opportunities to help you make meaningful industry connections, starting with the opening party on 29 November. Then, over the course of two days, CSIE boasts a multitude of networking opportunities. These range from Networking Breakfasts to a Happy Hour held at the end of day one. On both days of the show, we will also be hosting Speed Networking Sessions. Our Speed Networking Sessions are a fantastic opportunity for you to meet with suppliers and hear their ‘elevator pitch’.

2. Meet hundreds of IMO-approved suppliers and stay up to date with the latest product innovations

Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe has grown exponentially since 2019 with a show floor featuring hundreds of suppliers. This is made up of 60 ‘never-before-seen exhibitors’, 12 design firms and many more. The CSIE show floor is a hub of innovation and activity, with new suppliers, product launches and industry innovations. Additionally, this year we are launching a brand-new feature at CSIE, the Pitch and Pint competition. This allows new suppliers to pitch their most exciting products to a panel of judges made up of the CSIE Advisory Board. Why not grab a pint and join us at the CSIE Pub to see the latest innovations in cruise interiors?

3. Attend as a VIP

The CSI VIP Programme has been created to support our industry buyers and ensure they have the most valuable time whilst attending CSI Expos. If you procure for a shipyard, then it is highly likely you qualify for this incredible programme. Being a VIP at the show means that you have a dedicated team who are happy to assist you in planning your time at the show and getting you involved in all the exciting opportunities we have on offer such as our brand-new Speed Networking sessions. The team is also on hand to assist with any questions you may have or assist with any hotel, travel or local recommendations. Check out our day in the life of a VIP blog to learn more about being a CSI VIP. Additionally, you can contact our VIP team to find out if you qualify for this exclusive opportunity.

4. Celebrate industry excellence at the CSI awards

At the end of day two of Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, we will host the CSI Awards ceremony. Here, we recognise excellence within the industry across shipyards, cruise lines, designers, and suppliers. The awards cover 4 key categories, Spaces, Products, Projects and People. Judges include huge names in the industry such as My Nguyen, George Scammell, Petu Kummala, Sascha Lang and many more. CSI Awards is the perfect way to finish your time at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, so join us for this industry-wide celebration!

5. Get inspired at the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe conference

Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe’s conference programme, Cruise Conversations Live, hosts industry-leading speakers from cruise lines, shipyards, IMO suppliers and industry bodies, who together weigh in on the industry’s current trends and opportunities. This year, we have expanded our conference programme to now offer workshops that enhance the learning opportunities at CSIE. This year’s conference programme includes many inspiring sessions and panels. These include the keynote ‘The Modern Shipyard’, where Vesa Uuttu (Royal Caribbean Group) and Bas Loohuis (Damen Shipyard) will be offering essential advice for shipyards ranging from developing refurbishment projects to the secrets of good collaboration. Our workshop programme also features many insightful sessions including ‘Creative takeback schemes: from old carpet to new products’. Here, speakers from Holland America Group and Dansk Wilton share their joint experiences from a recent carpet recycling pilot project.
