With not long to go until Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe 2022, we are excited to welcome the entire European cruise interiors community come 30 November. This year, CSIE boasts its most exciting itinerary brimmed with new features including Speed Networking, competitions and workshops. With so much to see and do, Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe 2022 is one you don’t want to miss! Read on for our top five reasons cruise lines must attend Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe 2022.

1. Network with the entire cruise interiors community

With shipyards, outfitters, leading designers, innovative suppliers and other cruise lines in attendance, Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe is the perfect opportunity to connect with the entire European cruise interiors community. To assist you in making those vital connections, we have designed an action-packed itinerary brimming with plenty of networking opportunities. These will be taking place over the course of three days. This year’s networking opportunities include an Opening Party, Happy Hour drinks, and the closing CSI Awards ceremony. On both days of the show, we will also be hosting Speed Networking Sessions. Our Speed Networking Sessions are a fantastic opportunity for you to meet with suppliers and hear their ‘elevator pitch’.

2. Meet with your team and supply chain network

Cruise ship interior design is a global business and you may work closely with members of your team without having seen them in person for months! Between dry docks and intensely busy office hours, it’s even harder to meet with people you’re working on a project with, such as shipyard representatives, outfitters and suppliers. CSIE is the perfect opportunity to turn email chains and glitchy video calls into quick, face-to-face meetings. Network with all the major shipyards, outfitters, designers and suppliers, from Damen and Meyer Werft to SMC Design and Bolidt all in one place. Our VIP lounge is perfectly curated for you to hold meetings with your team, while you can visit project partners on their stands to not only talk about the business in hand but learn more about what they can do for prospective business. Take this chance to also revisit your supplier network and discover the most up-to-date innovations, pricing and availability for your upcoming projects.

3. Explore the show floor and source suppliers

Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe is the European cruise industry’s only event catered specifically to cruise ship interior design. As a result, you will be able to meet with the industry’s best design firms, outfitters, shipyards and cruise suppliers providing everything you will need for your next project—ranging from lighting to furnishings. Find yourself at the heart of innovation on our expansive show floor. Here you can catch new launches, sustainable suppliers, and product demonstrations. Invite your whole team and optimise your supply chain process at CSIE! Additionally, you can kick back and relax at the brand new CSIE pub between watching conference sessions and meeting with suppliers. Drop by on day one to catch our new Pitch and Pint competition. Here, 10 new-to-CSIE suppliers will be competing to win with elevator pitches of their most innovative products and services.

4. Celebrate industry excellence at CSI Awards

At the end of day two, join us in celebrating the cruise interiors community at the CSI Awards ceremony. Here, we recognise excellence within the industry across shipyards, cruise lines, designers, and suppliers in four key categories. These are Spaces, Products, Projects, and People. Judges include the biggest names in the industry such as Dee Cooper, George Scammell, Sascha Lang, My Nguyen and more! CSI Awards is the perfect way to finish your time at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, so be sure to join us on 1 December! Why not check out the categories and cast your vote ahead of the show?

5. Get inspired at Cruise Conversations Live

Over the years, CSIE’s conference, Cruise Conversations Live, has hosted industry leaders from the likes of Studio DADO, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, MJM Marine and more. Together, these experts weigh in on the biggest trends and opportunities faced by the industry, and this year is no exception! Our 2022 conference programme features speakers including George Scammell (Holland America Group), Trevor Young (MSC Cruises), Alejandro Crespo (Daroco Design) and Claire Weiss (Disney Cruise Line). Join them as they dive into this year’s many inspiring sessions and keynotes. On day one, you can step into the cruise designs of the future with ‘Cruise Design in 2030’. Additionally, learn how to adapt to changing customer expectations in ‘Designing for Gen Z and Beyond’. By the end of this two-day conference, you will leave with a comprehensive understanding of the current (and future) state of the industry.

This year, we have expanded our conference programme to now offer workshops that enhance the learning opportunities at CSIE. Among these is ‘Creative takeback schemes: from old carpet to new products’. Here, Lone Ditmer (Dansk Wilton) and My Nguyen (Holland America Group) will share their joint experiences from a recent carpet recycling pilot project. They will also be sharing tips for cruise lines wanting to undergo similar initiatives. This workshop is one you won’t want to miss.
