Speed Networking takes centre stage as a highlight of CSI, providing a dynamic platform for decision-makers and buyers to connect seamlessly with CSI exhibitors.
How it works
Hosted in the CSI Speed Networking Lounge across both days of the show, participants will take part in eight meetings, each lasting five minutes, with 30-second transition periods to ensure a smooth transition.
The meetings are carefully arranged based on buyers’ specific interests and needs. Our team works closely with these VIPs to gain an understanding of their current and future projects, using this insight to strategically match suppliers with the most relevant buyers.
This targeted approach ensures you meet with VIPs who have a genuine interest in your products or services. Should we require any additional information to refine your matches, a member of our team will be in touch.
Important Information Ahead of Your Speed Networking Session
Around six weeks before the event, we will contact you to confirm the single participant from your company who will attend your session.
Then, around two weeks prior to the show, this nominated participant will receive a confirmation email and calendar invitation outlining their session date and time, along with a comprehensive information pack containing detailed instructions and helpful tips to ensure they are fully prepared.
Please note:
- Only one participant per company can attend the session.
- Meetings are arranged based on VIP preferences; suppliers are unable to select their meeting participants. Due to strict VIP schedules, meetings cannot be guaranteed, as schedules may change on the day. The list of participating VIPs is provided as a guideline.
Lead Capture Scanner
We strongly encourage all suppliers to use the lead capture app to scan badges and collect contact details for VIPs. This digital approach minimises the risk of losing vital information and ensure smooth transitions between meetings, especially as many VIPs don’t tend to carry business cards. Lead capture can be purchased via the Exhibitor Support Page in October.

Top tip: We recommend scanning VIP badges at the beginning of each meeting rather than the end.
On the Day Check-in and Networking Warm-up
Upon arrival at the session, all participants check in with the CSI team at designated desks for VIPs and suppliers. After a brief check-in process, attendees are encouraged to enjoy a few minutes of open networking while collecting a drink before sitting at their allocated table.
Suppliers are welcome to bring brochures, leaflets, and small samples to keep on their designated table, as they will remain seated during the sessions. Throughout, VIPs will move from table to table according to the predetermined schedule.
The Timings of Your Session
The CSI Team will use a timer and will start and finish each meeting by sounding the gong. To keep the sessions on track, there will also be an alert when you have 30 seconds to wrap up conversations.
With only five minutes per meeting and just 30 seconds between table changes, this is a fast-paced networking experience. Please be prepared to conclude conversations promptly and exchange contact information efficiently, as delays may take time away from your next meetings.

Nikita Cliff serves as the dedicated point of contact for suppliers participating in Speed Networking. Her role ensures that participants receive all necessary details for their sessions in October. While she is unable to provide a list of contacts before each speed networking event due to up-to-the-minute VIP schedule changes, she will be available to address any questions about the Speed Networking session or exhibiting in general.
