Successfully and on time.

*LEAN is streamlining the Interior outfitting process by eliminating waste rather than increasing performance. This planning is based on LEAN construction principles which adhere to the 5R's  and “just in time” delivery of materials, the right part, in the right quality, at the right time, in the right quantity, at the right place. This results in much better quality, less stress for workers and a fixed finishing date.

Svein Fürstenberg

Svein Fürstenberg
Founder | Amfi Top

Svein Fürstenberg has worked with the material Solid Surface for more than 20 years, since 1998.

Solid Surface is a composit material which consist of 70 percent ATH (aluminium trihydrate) and 30 percent polymers, and it has a quality quite similar to aluminium.

Before the year 2000 Solid Surface was only made as simple plates, under trade mark like Corian.

The plates were made in USA, and imported to Europe where carpenter firms could use and refine them.

In 1998 Svein Fürstenberg started his work towards developing a new generation of the Solid Surface material.

Fürstenberg came across a new process which enables small scale production of the material. By casting Solid Surface from raw-materials it is possible to create a Solid Surface product by the costumers design.

With this new production method Fürstenberg founded the Solid Surface production company AmfiTop, and in 2000 he started a Solid Surface factory in East-Germany, producing worktops, sinks and furniture.

In 2011 the production was moved to Riga, Latvia, and focused mainly towards offshore and hotel markets.

In 2013 Fürstenberg started developing the now patented prefabricated bathroom-floors casted in Solid Surface, mainly for ships and hotels purpose.

Svein Fürstenberg lives with his family in Bergen, Norway.
