Introducing Quadraled luminous intelligent antimicrobial handles
In October 2021, one year after its 100th anniversary, F.lli Razeto & Casareto launched an innovative product that combines the most advanced technologies dedicated to providing onboard safety: Quadraled luminous intelligent antimicrobial handles. Safety with an eye to beauty.
Quadraled is an integrated system of smart door handles which light up in critical conditions to provide information such as indicating emergency escape routes with coloured lights. The system interacts with external systems such as FDS, ESD, SMS, SMCS or others via communication protocols, such as Modbus.
The electronics for this product are placed in special junction boxes hidden in the ceiling. These are wired with a BUS485 system that carries network signals throughout the vessel. They also provide power to the handles through the lock clasp. The cable free patented power and data transfer system from the frame to the door allows for easy and economical installation either on newbuild or on retrofit projects.
Each handle features 40 RGB LED’s hidden in the lever. Light is emitted on the door surface through a groove in the lower part of the lever. The square iconic design and the 40 LED’s give Quadraled its name.
Quadraled handles feature an ESI antimicrobial system, as well as a metal cluster complex that emits silver ions (Ag+) and other metal ions which trigger a continuous antimicrobial action on the surface of the handle itself as well as in the environment. As a result, the ESI anti-microbial system is self-sufficient and does not need to be recharged.
Following laboratory tests, the ESI antimicrobial system’s effectiveness against Coronavirus has been certified by University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. ESI is actually a diffusion treatment and is therefore permanent, thus Quadraledhandles cannot be contaminated.
