BEATRICE SIRI
AVP Architectural Outfitting & Design, Newbuilding & Innovation | Royal Caribbean Group
Beatrice Siri was born in Genoa and spent her Sunday afternoons as a child watching cruise ships leaving the port - dreaming to be designing them one day!
After graduating in naval architecture and marine engineering in 2000 in Genoa, Beatrice started her career with Costa Cruise line. Beatrice enjoyed working with them for 14 years, growing from Hotel interiors superintendent to Director of Newbuilding and Hotel maintenance.
Finally, 7 years ago Beatrice joined Royal Caribbean which has given her the opportunity to broaden her horizons thanks to an inspirational and multicultural environment. At Royal Caribbean, innovation is at the core of our values and Beatrice has been lucky enough to lead many multibillion projects for Celebrity Cruise, Royal Caribbean and TUI Cruises.
As Associate Vice President Architectural design and Outfitting, Beatrice is responsible for creating amazing ships, while building on continuous improvement and connecting great teams, top experts, amazing architects and incredibly talented yards and contractors.
On top of her love for travelling, architecture, art and sustainability, Beatrice is a true believer in expanding human potential. This passion led her lately to become a Certified life Coach, to be able to help people to enjoy life and go above and beyond their limits…and mine too!

A global hospitality design leader, George has extensive experience in the hospitality, cruise, and leisure entertainment industry. Leadership positions include VP of Global Design for Wyndham Worldwide, Principal for CORE architects, VP of Design for ForrestPerkins, and Design Management for Walt Disney World Resorts. George earned his bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Florida State University, is a licensed Interior Designer, and a Professional Member of both the American Society of Interior Designers, and the International Interior Design Association.

Futurist & trend watcher | Richard Van Hooijdonk
As a futurist and trendwatcher, Richard van Hooijdonk is an authority on new technology. He has several Chip-implants, because he wants to physically experience the future.
Richard researches trends in robotics, self-driving systems, 3D & 4D printing, sensors, blockchain, quantum computing, neurotech, biotech, and augmented & virtual reality. Combined with artificial intelligence, these technologies offer groundbreaking opportunities, but also lead to challenges and threats for people, organisations and governments.
Richard is driven by a desire to inject innovation and imagination into the mindsets of the people and organisations who are going to shape the world of tomorrow. He has been a speaker at many prestigious organisations, including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Samsung, the European Commission, Booking.com, Unilever, Huawei and NIKE. He has published 1,500 articles, 60 whitepapers, books, and e-books, including the bestseller ‘The World of Tomorrow.’

MIKE LAMBOURN
Design Lead | PriestmanGoode
Mike is an experienced industrial and product designer. He began his career at Dyson. Since joining design and innovation company PriestmanGoode in 2013 he has worked on projects for United Airlines, Austrian National Railway ÖBB, Embraer, CRRC Sifang, All Nippon Airways (ANA), S7 Airlines, Airbus, BE Aerospace and on numerous projects in the cruise industry.
Most recently Mike was the lead designer for PriestmanGoode’s First of a Kind rail project, funded by the UK’s Department for Transport which gained wide recognition including an endorsement from the UK Secretary of State for Transport. Mike studied at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. He received a First Class BA Hons. in Product Design.


TREVOR YOUNG
Vice President – Newbuilding | MSC Cruises
As vice president of New Building, Trevor Young is currently coordinating the 13 new building projects that are currently part of MSC Cruises’ fleet expansion plan. He also coordinates all refurbishment projects in the Company’s existing fleet. Trevor’s career started with him earning a diploma of business and hospitality management, along with a certificate in hotel and catering Management which lead him to the cruise industry in 1996.

Managing Director | Loloey
William Loloey is Managing Director of Loloey, a manufacturer of custom carpets and rugs.
After a brief stint as a project manager for one of the largest Real Estate Investment funds, William left to work for his family company where he combined his techincal knowledge to the art of carpet manufacturing to create the most beautiful textlie flooring solutions.
Loloey was founded in 1963 in Milan. A family business, with the DNA of an Italian and international company, it finds its entrepreneurial origins in the father Jalil Loloey and is led today by the second generation, the brothers Tony and William.
At Loloey, we work with the most eminent architectural firms and interior-design studios in the world: a special team is dedicated to creating each product, making sure it fits individual requirements and following the whole process through, from initial concept to final installation.
William is married to Sara and father to their four children.

JENNIFER DE VERE-HOPKINS
Associate Director | Jestico + Whiles
Jennifer is Associate Director at London based architecture and interior design practice Jestico + Whiles. Since joining Jestico + Whiles in 2006, Jennifer has worked across a wide portfolio of buildings, from laboratories and schools, to hotels and cruise ships. Most recently, Jennifer led the team behind Jestico + Whiles’ first cruise ship for the historic British brand P&O. She co-leads the hospitality studio, currently overseeing the interior design for the new W Hotel Edinburgh, the refurbishment of two historic Swiss hotels, and a dynamic mixed use conversion of a 1930’s Grade II listed cinema in the heart of London’s theatreland.


CLAIRE WEISS
Creative Director | Disney Cruise Line
Claire Weiss is currently a Creative Director for the Disney Wish Class of Ships at Walt Disney Imagineering Germany. She is responsible for leading the creative vision, developing the narrative experience. overseeing design development, providing on-site creative review during construction and guiding the ship-wide aesthetic for the Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Wish. She is thrilled to do it all over again for the next ship in the class: the Disney Treasure!
Claire began her Imagineering career in 2011 as an Interior Designer working at the Walt Disney Imagineering campus in Glendale, California. Her diverse portfolio of Disney projects include The Enchanted Storybook Castle (Shanghai Disney Resort), Pandora: the Land of Avatar (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park), the Iron Man Experience (Hong Kong Disneyland), Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (Disneyland Park), Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout (Disney California Adventure), Avengers Campus (Disney California Adventure), and her most recent accomplishment The Disney Wish (Disney Cruise Line).
Prior to joining the Walt Disney Company, Claire worked for Morris Architects in Orlando, Florida as a conceptual architectural designer & illustrator. She has also been a Freelance architectural illustrator at various times prior to working for Walt Disney Imagineering, as well as a CAD designer for HDR Architects in Boise, Idaho.
Claire was born in Logan, Utah and is a graduate of the University of Idaho (go Vandals!) with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture. Claire’s home is Los Angeles, CA but she currently lives in Papenburg, Germany to help guide construction of the Disney Wish class. When not “talking ship” she enjoys traveling, sketching, oil painting, making pottery, hiking, and exploring new places with her little red dog, Finley.

Workshop: Creative takeback schemes: from old carpet to new products
Holland America and Dansk Wilton share their joint experiences from a recent carpet recycling pilot project. This interactive workshop shares some key findings and sets clear parameters for successful future materials and circularity initiatives. Marketing Manager and responsible for sustainable business development at Dansk Wilton. Lone is managing the Cradle-to-Cradle certifications of Dansk Wilton’s Colortec carpet solutions and is driving the ongoing recycling initiatives within the company. For her, it is important to see sustainability as a journey and not a destination. Embracing sustainability requires continuous development and improvements.

Director of Interior Design | Holland America Group
My is the Director of Interior Design for HA Group and leads the design department overseeing three prominent cruise brands: Holland America Line, Princess Cruise Line and Seabourn. My’s design experience is diversified across Refurbishment and Newbuild. As a globally recognized thought leader, My’s repertoire of achievements span both land and sea. She is known for her internationally acclaimed award-winning designs as well as being a public speaker on topics close to her heart such as Sustainability and Leadership.
On the topic of inspiration, My says, “inspiration to me is not a noun. It’s more of a mindset. I’m as inspired seeing the colors of leaves while walking in my neighbourhood as I am looking at fashion in different cities that I visit around the world. The key is to always keep your eyes open and not have tunnel vision. That mindset assures you will always feel inspired”.

Bas Loohuis has been working for Damen for over 25 years and his current role as Commercial Director is to head up a team of specialists who are responsible for the large and complex projects, including cruise maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion is part of the Damen Shipyards Group.
Damen Shiprepair & Conversion consists of 11 repair yards in north west Europe and Caribbean. It repairs and converts approximately 1300 vessels per years, which comprises of all type of Ocean going vessels. Damen is servicing Cruise vessels at its yards in Brest and Dunkirk (France), In Rotterdam and Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and in Curacao (Caribbean). Damen is able to drydock the largest Cruise ships that are in service today. The services that Damen is providing is in close corporation with the Cruise owners and their OEM’s and contractors.

Siu Lie founded Circular Symbiosis in the beginning of 2020 looking to rewire, restructure and connect stakeholders to create circular ecosystems after having worked in IT public relations, journalism, marketing and with an environmental NGO. ALEJANDRO CRESPO DAROCO
Head of Design | Daroco Design
Alejandro Crespo is the founder of Daroca Design. He has a Master degree in Yacht Design by Politecnico di Milano and a degree in Industrial Design from Cardenal Herrera CEU University. Alejandro developed his passion growing up in a cosmopolitan city surrounded by the sea. He took the opportunity to sail in boat regattas in Valencia, which together with his curiosity for drawing and sketching has inspired him to pursue his career in yacht design.
He has led on several design projects both as part of his studies and during his early career working at international design companies. Daroca Design Ltd. is a Yacht design Company with awards. Some of them are: ‘M.Y. Sunset 80m’ which won the European Design Awards in 2018, Transportation Category. In addition, ‘M.Y. Equilibrium 105m’ has been a finalist in the Yacht Aviation Awards 2020, in the ’Over 40 meters’ category. Both projects have been published in Boat International, Super Yacht Times and Yacht Harbour.

With a degree in Architecture and Masters in Interior Design, Goneta has a good eye to detail structurally and decoratively. Goneta holds an all rounded experience in commercial and residential projects fitting well in the Marine industry design with extensive knowledge in all stages of design as a Project Manager at SMC Design.


CARLY SMITH
Hotel Interiors Superintendent | Seabourn
A self-coined tempered radical, Carly is driven by her passion for art and design, curiosity of human behavior, and the science of sensory experiences in built environments. Having a hankering for the new and interesting, she has cultivated a career in various disciplines in the design world ranging in events, products (both real + digital), lighting, and interior spaces on land and sea. When not busy managing the interior maintenance of the six (soon to be seven) Seabourn cruise ships, her side projects function as a perfect playground for learning and experimenting with new tools, materials, and processes. Carly is excited to be a part of the present and future cruise industry in implementing new and emerging technologies, increasing sustainable practices, and blending them with design to create innovative and novel sailing experiences.


KYLE BILOT
Project Design Manager | Walt Disney Imagineering
Kyle Bilot is currently a Project Design Manager at Walt Disney Imagineering Germany for the new Disney Wish class of ships. He is responsible for managing the design process from concept to completion, including on-site management during the construction phase, all while ensuring the creative vision is delivered on schedule and within budget.
Kyle began his Imagineering career in 2013 as a Project Management Intern working at the Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, Florida. Aside from his most recent accomplishment of delivering the Disney Wish, his portfolio of other marine related projects include Dry Dock Refurbishments of existing Disney Cruise Line ships (Disney Magic/Disney Wonder), Lighthouse Point (Disney Cruise Line’s 2nd Island), and now the next Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Treasure.
Kyle was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture. Kyle currently lives in Papenburg, Germany while managing the design and construction of the Disney Wish class.
